How to get your M‑Pesa statement

Ask Safaricom for your full statement. It comes to your email as a PDF.

The short answer

Dial *334# or open the M-Pesa app, and ask for your full statement. Safaricom emails it to you as a PDF, and sends its password by SMS.

With *334#

  1. Dial *334# on your Safaricom line.
  2. Choose My Account, then M-PESA Statement, then Full Statement.
  3. Pick how many months you want.
  4. Confirm the email address it should go to.
  5. Enter your M-Pesa PIN to send the request.

With the M-Pesa app

  1. Open the M-Pesa app and go to Statements.
  2. Ask for your full statement, sent to your email.

Opening it

The PDF is locked. Safaricom sends the password by SMS, around the same time as the email. It’s usually your ID number, with no spaces.2

Careful. Your statement lists every payment you made and received, with names and amounts. Only share it with someone you trust.
